R·I·T Battle Bots

RIT has two Heavyweight class Battlebots. This class of battlebot weighs between 120 lbs. and 220lbs. One of these battlebots was built by the SME students, and the other by the MDRC students. Both have performed well in several fights, putting RIT on the map for battlebots.

The MDRC battlebot was constructed during 2001-2002 as a Senior Design Project. Its round spinning design was meant for the actual Battlebot arena.

The SME battlebot was constructed from 2002-2003, and uses a tank tread system, deflection ramp, and grabbing claws capable of 500lbs of force.
